The estate has a long history and was owned by the Counts of Bothmer in the 18th century. In DDR times, the company was state property.

The farm has continued to this day - the estate has been owned by the Silvius Dornier family since 1992 and has been run as an organic farm on a new adjacent farm ever since.

Some of the old houses have been restored and are now beautiful holiday apartments in the idyll of the Baltic Sea.
